Family

This is my two oldest in February of this year. It was our first dinner together since my daughter got back from Australia. I tied little yellow ribbon around the striped to make it like that. I stamped in 2 colors on the circle around the pic, then inked it. The flourishes I had already cut out on my silhouette. The title is from the basic grey marrakech kit. I punched out all the little flowers. The music sheet with the sun on it is from the net, I just printed it out. Then I added a poem at the bottom. Tfl :)

Hot fun...soak up the sun

This is a pic of my stepson and his g/f in cuba in january of this year. I doodled alot on this page. twisted the green ribbon around the black ribbon. Cut the 'water' strips out with fiskars edge scissors. Hand cut out the big orange circle along with the flowers around it. All the little butterflies on the page are stamped. I added two sequin flowers with silver brads to each top corner of the pic, and also two photo anchors (red) to the left of the pic. Doodled the birds on the sun, around the frame of pic, the sun rays, across the light blue strip, along the bottom of the page and around the title. Tfl :)

I just couldn't wait to try one of these when I first seen one..actually I have seen them alot in the last couple days! Its called a folded dahlia flower and it is sooooo easy to make!! I just love them, I made about 4 in total just for the fun of it...lol. The very next purchase I am going to make is for a circle punch, since I had to hand cut out all the circles used for this...argh!! I think they look so cool, and depending on the paper you use, it will look different every time!!! All you need is two-sided paper, a circle punch (size depends on how big you want the flower), thats it, oh and of course adhesive!! Anywhoo, thats the newest technique for me I thought I would share! :)

This is a few pic's of my oldest daughter, playing the guitar she forgot at the airport :( I started with white cardstock, then added the pink (after inking the edge). I then added the black paper with white flourishes. The pics I played around with on a program on my computer, then I sanded the edges of them and glued them down. The flower I made from scratch, just cut out the petals one by one and doodles on them. Added a button to the center of the flower. The butterfly was a gold lacey look I added to the green paper then cut out and pop dotted it for dimension, as well as the flower petals. I then added the ribbon all around the border of page. Added a strip of green paper with brads, that I inked and then punched out the heart on. Oh and I added 2 little strips of dotted ribbon to each corner of the pics. Tfl :)

Well, I have been a little busy the last couple days, but did manage to get a couple things done. Here is one...

This is for a challenge at sb.com, got to love those flowers challenge. I must say I am really liking the sandylion disney princess papers, especially for little girls...how sweet.Okay, first of all I cut out a circle the size of a pie dish ( because thats what I used!!!) I then added the lacey ribbon around the edge of the circle. I then added the foam glitter title, and the red flourishes, after that I added the pics, which are matted 3 times. First with turquois paper, then I added the fuschia paper. On both of them I used my fiskars scalloped edging scissors. Then I added a white mat and inked around that in aqua ink. After adding the pics I added all the layered flowers. Cut out 2 leaves out of the turquois paper, and tucked them under the flowers. The butterfly is a pic I got from the net, just cut it out and added some bling, attached it to a chipboard flourish to match the title letters. Oh and I also added the little blue flowers around edge of circle. Seems like a whole lot, but didn't really take too much time. Tfl

It will have to be another day...

Well....my plan was to go to the bayfront park yesterday and get some pictures, especially for when the sun went down. My plan did not pan out, I ended up having company. Then later in the afternoon we had such a storm...wow, trees down and everything, they are saying there was funnel clouds but wont yet confirm if it was a tornado or not! Thank goodness for my visitors, or I would have been caught in that :) It turned out that my youngest, Shayla went to the beach and she got caught in it, so I ended up having to go pick her and her friends up...needless to say I didn't get any pics, but I did get to the beach...lol
I am hoping for some nice days this week to follow through with my plan to get some sunset pics at the bayfront!

I Love Color

This was so much fun to do. I printed an image off the computer which is the rainbow wavy thing, added the circles paper, punched out a border down the right side. Cut out 4 different colored circles about and inch or so, doodled a swirl on each one in what color it is, the letters are stickers, but I didn, t have enough permanent markers so I will probably be changing that, so they are more vibrant. I then added a black and a yellow ribbon under the title, and a dotted ribbon around the title. Tfl :)

These 2 pages are for a baby book I made for a friends daughter. The sun, rainbows, and bee are all images from the net I printed out. All the little critters at the bottom of the 'sun' page are foam. I also added a sequined ribbon in gold to reflect the sun. The stars are foam, I stamped the word and handcut and then pop dotted them onto the stars. I wrote out' somewhere over the rainbow, skies are blue...' as well as added a few music notes to the clouds. On the rainbow page, I doodled around page and around cloud paper, added some flowers and a quote that reads...she will fill your life with sunshine and your heart with love' Tfl

beautiful life

this is my oldest daughter in australia, first time at the ocean. I used basic grey marrakech paper for the background. All the sunglasses, palm tree and camera were cut outs I purchased who knows where! ;) oh, as well as the sun. The title I had sitting around here already, I just added gems above it. Hand doodled around blue and around edge of page, also around all embellies, Tfl

Laugh Live Enjoy

This is my daughter and a friend of hers...its all about the bright colors these days! I hand cut out flourishes and flowers. The title was already like that I just cut it from the paper it was on and matted it with white. The polka dots around pic is actually a mat too, kinda looks like ribbon here. I used my fiskars scissors on the title edges. Journalling is about the bright colors these days, even for boys hair!!!...lol Tfl

This is a pic of my youngest daughter at 13. We had a bit of a disagreement the other night, or shall I say a whole lot of teenage attitude got in the way... anyways it was that night that inspired me to do this layout. I started with the red/orange flower paper on bottom, then placed the striped green on top and folded the corners down. Matted the photo with the flower paper, both sides, since its 2 sided. The butterfly is cut out with my silhouette. The bird is stamped then hand cut. The rainbow is printed off the net, the flowers are all foam. I added sequins to the butterfly. For the journalling strips, I printed the poem out, then cut into strips, inked edges with red, and placed down side of page. Tfl...

These cards have a white background, then I added a two-tone blue cardstock. I hand cut the flowers, added a b & w patterned cardstock, then added a silver greeting. The ribbon is b & w and silver thread. Tfl!!

This is a happy birthday card, I love the brightness of these papers. All I did was double matted the greeting in white cardstock. I inked the edges also added ribbon and thats it!! Tfl!!

I had so much fun making these cards! It was fun because I dont usually work with 'little ones' embellies, my youngest is 13 (going on 22 lol). All goodies are foam, I added ribbon. Tfl

I am feeling like I should have stamped the bird on another cardstock then onto the card, I dont really like it this way (will do that next time). Anyways the little greeting says 'for you' I doodled around the edge of it and inked, added that 'gorgeous' ribbon (reminds me of spring!!!!) and thats it for this one! Tfl!!

These cards I started off saying to myself...no flowers or ribbon! I was trying to make masculine and not feminine...lol I dont know if they look too masculine now that they are done. I think they look more halloweeny. ;) These are basic grey marrakech papers and sticker letters. Tfl!!

These were very simple cards to make. The paper is so colorful already, I didn't have to do much more. The greeting tag I doodled myself, thats why one has a flower too, because I wasn't paying attention and yakkin at the same time and oops -a little of center...lol Tfl!!

I have been on a card making kick lately!! Here is a set of 3 in brown, cream and blue. Used a corner punch, added ribbon and thats it for these ones!

Mother's Day Gift Bos-side view

This is the side view of the box. I added a tag and ribbon too, I also painted the lid blue before adding anything to it...tfl

Mother's Day gift box

This is a wooden box I altered for mothers day. I cut out the flower and flourish with my silhouette, and the bird is hand drawn and cut out, I used colored pencils to shade the bird and flourish, added a metal butterfly and ribbon. The title is stickers. I then modpodged the whole lid...tfl

I used basic grey marrakech papers on the 'me @ 44", did some paper tearing and inking. I journalled 10 random things about me right now.
The 'summertime in Toronto' page is only cardstock, even the strips for journalling. The title is from basic grey bittersweet collection, and the blue and brown doodles are rub ons. The black dots and white doodles I did myself. Journalling says laugh as much as you breath and love as much as you live. Choose with no regret. Live with intention, walk to the edge. Listen hard. Practice wellness. Play with abandon. Continue to learn. Appreciate your friends. Do what you love, live as if this is all there is.
The 'brothers' page is paper that looks like brick, and paper that looks like wood. Journalled on the 'wood' strips, ...A brother is a friend given by nature! Tfl hope I have inspired at least one of you :)

Hi there...its been awhile since Ive been here! Alot has happened since the last post...
My daughter lost her baby almost 2 weeks ago and has since returned to Australia, so I was not in a posting mood...not for posting all sad news anyways.
She is doing alot better now. She is one strong young woman. I am sad for her, just the same happy that my daughter is doing well. Everything happens for a reason, so we just have to trust and believe it is for the better.
Well I have not been scrapping too much in the last couple weeks, but I managed to get 4 pages done yesterday, so I am going to post them, let me know what you think please, and thanks so much for stopping by ~Kelly
